Regular medication, if authorised by the doctor, can be obtained without attending surgery every month using the following methods:
- In person - leave the computer printed request slip in the box at reception.
- On-line - via Patient Access (register in person at the surgery first).
- Via a pharmacy - make arrangements with a nominated community pharmacist.
Telephone requests will only be accepted from the housebound.
Collection remains the patient’s responsibility. Please ensure you do not run out of important medication.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow 48-72 hours for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. Requests can be put in 4 working days before you are due to run out. Early requests will be rejected. Please ask for a New Patient Information Booklet at Reception for details of our medication process.
